His interests cover Clocks, Carillons, Bells, Organs, Players,
Street Organs, PigeonTimers, any Musical Clock Work, and the repair of all
these items.
Jim is also an expert in the repair and maintenance of tower clocks,
and has worked on many of the 100 tower clocks known to exist in the State of
Maine.
Jim is known as the "HURDY GURDY MAN" and shows up at
Chapter meetings as an organ grinder, complete with his street organ, and
puts on quite a show, costume and all. He works with two
orange-furred monkeys whom he rescued from the last remaining bit of
Antarctic rain-forest.
In the fall of 2001, Jim appeared on Lou McNally’s “Made in
Maine”. The video is available upon
request.
Jim is also one of our Plank owners (a member of the Chapter
since its establishment).
