I
have been in Maine since 1968, mostly in Saco, when my parents moved us
there from New Jersey. Joanne and I
have been married since 1982. We moved from Saco to Scarborough in
2001. We have two daughters, three granddaughters, and a brand new grandson.
I work as a Semiconductor Device Physics Engineer at Fairchild, and have
been there since 1980.
Weather instruments and clocks have long been an attraction for me, but this
didn't really get serious until a couple of years ago. I have a fair
sized collection of early-mid 1900's weather instruments, and most of my
clocks are in the 1880 - 1930 time frame.

Tom repairs, buys and
sells clocks in conjunction with Nan's antique shop in Bristol. He
could not refuse being pressed into service, because "the strength of
Chapter 89 comes from member participation".

Chapter 89 #281
|
Nan
and husband Tom hail from Bristol, Maine, where she has a year-round
antique shop called “Good Old Things." Nan finds truth in the
philosophy that you get a lot more back from things when you give something
to them.
